About David

My passion for the law began as a toddler when I would spend countless hours in my father’s law office. Over time, I knew I wanted to become a lawyer and follow in my father’s footsteps. I worked for my father for several years during college to make sure the legal profession was the proper fit for me.

After graduating with a degree in Sport Management from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University in 2012, I took a few years off from school to see if I could find the perfect career, but I learned during this time that the law was my perfect career.

I began my law school career at Touro Law Center in Central Islip, Long Island, New York for my first year of law school in 2015. After my first year of law school, I transferred to Rutgers Law School-Newark where I completed my law school education in 2018.

During my third year of law school, I participated in the Rutgers Law School Civil Justice Law Clinic, where I represented clients in Social Security matters. In the fall 2017, I represented my first client in front of the Administrative Law Judge in Newark and won my client full Social Security benefits. In the Spring of 2018, I filed an appeal for a denial of Social Security benefits for a 22 year old client to the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. After much negotiation with the Assistant United States Attorney, the appeal was filed. In November 2019, my client was awarded full benefits from the United States District Court. It is very rare that benefits are awarded directly from the United States District Court without a new hearing and new instructions for the Administrative Law Judge.

I was the judicial law clerk to Hon. Lawrence P. DeBello, J.S.C in the Superior Court of New Jersey: Family Part, Mercer County. I worked with four dockets including juvenile delinquency, contempt of restraining orders, final restraining orders, and special immigrant juvenile status.

Upon the conclusion of my clerkship, I ventured out into the legal world to find out what fields I wanted to practice law in. I wanted to blend my passion for helping people plan for the future and my passion for helping small businesses. This led me the fields of Estate Planning and working with the New Jersey Craft Beverage Community. Therefore, Campanile Law, LLC. was created.

Outside of Work

In my free time, I like to go out with my wife and try different breweries, cideries, distilleries, meaderies, and wineries with our dog Piper by our side. I also love sports and I am an avid New York Yankees, New York Giants, and Seton Hall Pirates fan. I am also a regional representative for New Jersey Craft Beer

Community Involvement

My father and I were both members of the Orange/West Orange UNICO, where we raised money for multiple charities including the Jimmy V Foundation.

After my father, Carmine D. Campanile, Esq. passed away in September 2017, I established a scholarship in his name with the Orange/West Orange UNICO. The Carmine D. Campanile, Esq. Law Scholarship is presented to a well-rounded law student who attends law school in the State of New Jersey.

I also participate every year in the Seaside Heights Polar Bear Plunge which raises money for the New Jersey Special Olympics. I am a member of Team Konnor and every year our team grows in the number of participants and in the amount of money we raise.
